Actually, that doesn't sound so bad...

except YOU'RE ON FIRE!!!

Luckily, you can convert thermal (heat) energy into kinetic (movement) energy.  You can create thrust through the burning destruction. This means that as you burn more, you turn sharper and accelerate quicker. Because you're a torch, you can even last about half a minute in the heat (which is probably more than other wood, idk). 

What is also not great is that some of the fire is after you!
